My new boyfriend- the Nutribullet

So I have had my Nutribullet for a few months now and I just have to say that I am in actual romantic love with it. Well maybe I won't go that far, but holy crap its the best blender I have ever owned.

Once upon a time I had an old fashioned blender, you know the crappy old ones you can get at Walmart for like $10? I was rockin one of those. I hated blending stuff because not only was it a bitch to clean, it didn't do a very good job. Then I got engaged, and was gifted the obligatory Ninja. Oh man. This blender was the BOMB compared to our other blender, and I was in LOVE. BUT that was 4 years ago and I don't know if my standards of blending have gone up, or if it has just gotten old, but I was starting to dread the old Ninja too. Maybe because my blending needs were really leaning toward single serve. I hated to get out the big old thing to just make one shake. Enter my new love.

Oh the Nutribullet. I love a lot of things about you. I love the individual cups that are a lot more convenient for use and cleaning. And I love that it just blends the shit out of things. My old Ninja would leave chunks of ice, but this thing makes smooth smoothies... Something I had only experienced at restaurants.

Anyhoo, my point wasn't to share my love note to the Nutribullet, it was to share my favorite recipes! I have made quite a few concoctions in this thing so I thought I would share my favorites!

Pumpkin Pie Shake
1 cup vanilla almond milk
1/2 cup water
1 handful of ice
1 scoop Vanilla protein powder (I use shakeology)
3 tablespoons of pumpkin puree
a dash of vanilla extract
a few dashes of cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice
a dollop of Truwhip (or a whipped topping of your choice) *optional (if you are a communist! Its better with it, use the whip)

Blend and enjoy!

Pumpkin Spice Latte 
See above, but substitute water for iced coffee (and adjust the ratio if you like more coffee) and enjoy!

Reeses Shake
1 cup almond milk
1/2 cup water
1 scoop Chocolate protein powder (again, I use shakeo)
1 tbs PB2

I mix the PB2 and Chocolate powder before, so they blend better (otherwise you can end up with PB2 chunks)

Green Smoothie
1 cup spinach
1 cup kale
1/2 cucumber, diced
1 tbs lime juice
1 cup water

Blend! Super refreshing :D I love this one!
