Operation Skinny Jeans Fit Camp

I can't even tell you in words how excited I am for this new "challenge". It is going to be even more awesome, and completely different, so I decided among the other changes that I would change the name! Since this is less of a challenge and more of a camp, it seemed fitting. Here is what's new!

I have two other awesome people on board as camp counselors. Meet our nutritionist Melissa and our trainer Sedric !

Melissa is a personal trainer and certified Nutritionist (as well as a former fat girl) that blogs at Melissa Austin Fitness

Sedric is a personal trainer, professional physique model and a good friend of mine. He has agreed to whip my fat ass into shape, and he is going to whip yours too. 

I realized something during the 10 week challenge; I am not a nutritionist or a trainer. I can't tell you what to eat or how to move your body to lose weight. Besides being motivating or whatever, I have NO expertise at all, and for that I felt I was failing as a leader. So I reached out and got some help. I think these resources will take the fit camp to the next level. 

As well as being there as a resource, Melissa will help you figure out what you should be eating and Sedric and I will be filming weekly work out videos for you to do, as well as putting together a training schedule for you. MORE STRUCTURE! 

Another change will be more camper involvement. We will have weekly weigh ins, as well as submitting beginning, middle and after pictures and measurements. This isn't just a support group, it is an actual FIT CAMP. You will have that accountability to Melissa, Sedric and myself. We will look at your progress and see if you need more support in any areas if you aren't getting the results you want. 

There will also be a set goal! In 10 weeks, the goal is to lose 10% of your starting weight. This is TOTALLY reasonable and considered a healthy rate of weight loss in order to maintain and not gain it all back. If you follow our program, you should have no problem reaching that goal. 

The primary platform for the group will be a secret Facebook group. 

So what do you say? Wanna join us? Please only join if you are serious. This is an actual commitment and you will be held to it. We want you to succeed, not get lost in a large group, so the size will be kept under 50 participants. 

The program will start Monday July 22nd, and end on September 30th. And if you are in the Colorado area, there is a really awesome event on July 20th that I want to tell you about! 

 This is a free event on July 20th at Red Rocks in Morrison. There will be free classes like Zumba, Body Combat, Yoga and more! Sedric and I will be there so if you want to come and meet up with is, email me! Click on the envelope button under my picture on the right. We would love to meet you to kick off this challenge! If you want to come, you do need to register, so go to their website to do that. I hope to meet some of you and work out with you!

So there you go! I am so excited about this new fit camp. I have been working on it for over a month to make it perfect and to give you all the best! Let me know if you would be interested in joining. I am working on a registration form to get all the beginning info before it starts so I don't have to do that after. Registration will be open from Friday July 12th- Friday July 19th.

  3. I would LOVE to be a part of this. The accountability is just what I need. I tend to start strong for a while and then fall flat on my face. So I think this will be great.

  9. This is great!!! Not sure I'd qualify since losing 10% of my weight would put me at a health BMI (ie - that's all I have to lose). But I would love the accountability and support :)
