10 Day Advocare Cleanse Results

I am just gonna say this right off the bat, I was not paid or perked by Advocare to do this cleanse and write about it. A few ladies I respect around blog land had done it, and it is SO.MUCH.CHEAPER than other cleanses around, so I threw it out there to my 10 Week Challenge Ladies, and thats how this started. *side note, Ash from Fit and Sassy Ash is a rockstar, and she bought my cleanse and Spark for me. So you really should go check her out, because she is the bomb.com.

Moving on! The cleanse. For the first and last 3 days, you drink this thing called the Fiber drink. It comes in two different flavors, Citrus and Peaches and Cream, and I got Citrus. The first day I made it, I drank it in smaller gulps, taking my time. This was the worst choice ever. About 5 minutes after I mixed it, it got really thick, like applesauce and jello mixed together… I went to take the last gulp and it slowly slopped into my mouth, and I almost puked. So I learned day one, drink it fast. I tried making it with Orange juice to trick myself into thinking the chunks were "pulp" but I was still unconvinced. The part that sucks is that it actually tastes good, the texture is just funky. To demonstrate, I made a video. If you get motion sick, close your eyes when I say "Now I am going to mix it".

After you get that down tho, it gets a lot easier. You just eat clean. You take a pill at night, and toward the end you take a pill in the morning, but that's about it. (The schedule of when to take what comes in the box). I loved that you could eat, it made it a ton easier. And really the fiber drink was the hardest part for me.

Now to be honest with you, I didn't eat according to the plan 100% of the time. I did probably 75% of the time, but I did have some carbs. And because I suck I didn't take my measurements before either, sorry! BUT when I started, I weighed 249.7, and this morning I weighed 246.0 which is definitely the lowest I have seen in a VERY long time. I had been stuck in 247 land and so seeing a number smaller than that made my day. Could i have lost more if I had eaten better, probably. Would I do the cleanse again, sure. It wasn't unpleasant, and it really "cleansed" my insides, so that felt nice. I didn't have headaches or lightheadedness like my last cleanse, so over all I would call this one a success.

Have you done the Advocare 10 day cleanse? How did you do?

    1. If you decide to do it definitely do the peaches and cream and NOT the citris. When doinf the citris I had to gag it down but tue peaches and cream I can do without gaging major difference in the 2

  2. Great job, Jess! I'm on day 5 of the cleanse (this is my second time). I have to agree that it does help you feel "cleaned out" so to speak. I have mastered the trick of making the fiber drink taste (almost) good.
    Here is what I do:
Measure out 8 oz. of juice
Get a big spoon and a drinking straw out and ready
    Pour in the fiber packet
Stir like mad, as quickly as I can until it dissolves
Leave the spoon in the cup and stick in the straw
Start chugging through the straw and drink as much as I can
In between the big gulps through the straw, I keep stirring
(that keeps it from getting thick and from the stuff settling in the bottom)
I drink the entire thing in less than 30 seconds
The faster you drink it, the easier it is
Once it starts to get thick, it's over for me!

    1. I used the Minute Maid 15 calorie Cherry Limeade and it was actually quite good!

  3. I finished the cleanse last week. Lost 3.8 pounds and 3/4 of an inch. To be honest though, I really think that was from the clean eating and exercise and not the cleanse itself. Unfortunately for me, I never experienced the "cleaned out" effect I was hoping for. I've had results like these and better over 10-14 days just following my weight watchers plan so that's what I'll stick to long term. :)

  4. I did the 10 day cleanse...ok well I started the 10 day cleanse, I didn't actually finish it...but anyway the fiber drink is the most disgusting thing EVER! I did the same thing on the first day, drinking it slowly, and that was SO much worse! I discovered drinking it through a straw with my nose plugged as fast as I could was the only way to choke it down...haha...Citrus flavor my ass...

    1. This is not about a diet fad. If you actually looked at the guidelines and disciplined yourself that this is to increase your well-being in general. This is a recommended lifestyle change and if you are not up to the challenge, of course you will fail. 24 day challenge worked well for me 20lbs the first time, 17lbs the second time. This is my third time around and I am sure I will have great results.

  10. Great job! I'm on day 5 of the cleanse. I pretty much eat clean anyways but felt like my metabolism needed a jump start. I will be doing it again too.

  13. I did the cleanse back in the Spring and lost 7 lbs within the 10 days. I loved it and felt as if it really helped kick start my clean eating attempt. I'm doing another 10 day cleanse beginning tomorrow (since you can only cleanse every 90 days) and I can't wait to see my results. You're doing great girl, so inspiring =)

  14. Thanks Jess for posting informative article on board. I was looking out for a good review for this program. I’m looking for cleansing of colon as I find myself out of energy, constipation and the irregular bowel movement. I expect this program to sack my issues and return me the normal colon health. Looking around for colon cleansing as well as weight loss.

  15. It was interesting reading Jess!! I’ve been with ill colon issues and searched the best colon cleanser that can solve my issue. Found the advocare cleanse is worth of solving the colon issues. I’m on the 10 day colon cleansing trial and wish me all the best for my colon cleansing program. I hope I can back to my previous days where I used to be healthy.

  16. If you ate clean like that all the time you'd lose weight without the Advocare products. Just sayin...

    1. I started today too, and I have to say that it wasn't terrible. I used a pink lemonade sparks drink mixed in a bottle of water. When 1/3 of it was down, I added the peaches and cream fiber powder and shook it up in the bottle with the sparks. Then I chugged it before it got thick. The flavors weren't bad together at all.

  19. I am on day 3-----I know it is crazy but I don't mind the fiber drink at all! Last night I woke up having night sweats though which really freaked me out. I got about 2 hours of sleep....didn't feel so great today. But pluggin away at it! I have already lost 3 lbs in 3 days.

  20. I just finished the cleanse and I have lost 7 lbs! I had been stuck at 214 lbs since giving birth over a year ago despite attempts at exercise/yoga. I would say I followed the proper diet about 85%, and only did yoga 1 time during the 10 days. The Peaches and Cream tasted great to me- no problem with the fiber drink. I would say it really curbed my appetite- I had to force myself to eat lunch as I just wasn't hungry. Day 6 I had severe diarrhea but I feel that was my fault as I ate some broiled fish that was too oily. Days 7-9 I was nauseated slightly.
I would do it again- my biggest tip is you should strictly follow the meal plan and drink tons of water!!!

  21. I am on day 4. I got through the drink by making it like a smoothie.
Blend 1 cup of ice, 8 oz of cold water, fiber packet, 1/2 a serving of Spark.
Drink it through a straw, fast...

    1. Good idea. I'm.gonna try that. I actually threw my fiber drink up this morning. This is day 1 for me. So I'm not sure how that will affect everything.

  22. Ok, I am on day 22 of the advocare challenge.... Yes I have lost weight I'm small to begin with starting weight was 120.8 pounds with clean eating, moderate exercise, giving up sodas and alcohol on the wknds I have now dropped down to 117.2. Oh yea and I was taking advocare. I honestly think I would have dropped the weight without the advocare the advocare just made me a tad bit disciplined for the simple fact that I spent all that money and didn't want to fail. Spark curbed my appetite somewhat, the fiber drink (peaches and cream) wasn't too bad as longs you downed it, now when you get in the max phase and have to take a million pills is what killed me. Not to mention I been getting rashes which could be from the high dosage of Niacin in the advocare. Everywhere I kept reading all these fantastic reviews but they all seem to be from distributors. I know it's not a fad diet and it's a lifestyle change. The only great thing I can actually say about this product is that yes it did get me back on track with clean eating because I feel like I had to eat clean so that my money wouldn't go down the drain!

  24. I use a "Shaker Bottle" I bought @ WalMart. I use that with diet grape/cranberry juice for the fiber drink. I shake the heck out of it and chug it. Works great. I use it for my Spark drink too!

  27. I'm on Day 11 and I've lost 6 lbs and 5 inches off the stomach and 3 off the waist. I was in a size 12 and now I'm in a 10 and they are a lttle big. Advocare is working so far. I haven't cheated, I abide by all the rules and I plan on completing this challenge successfully. The fiber was the worst part but the best thing is to mix with OJ and chug it.

    1. I don't like Advocare stuff. There's no doubt it works, but so does clean eating and you don't have to pay crazy amounts for supplements you don't need or can get elsewhere.
