Weigh In Wednesday 4-24

I am back with Weigh in Wednesday!
As you may or may not know, I am not weighing in this month for "No Weigh April", but I am still linking up with Weigh in Wednesday with Erin from She's a Big Star, and Alex from Skinny Jean Pilgrimage.

I have something exciting to share with you! I have a few longer term goals coming up at the beginning of July, and I realized recently that that is only 10 weeks away. I can't believe this year has flown by so fast, and really I am not quite where I had hoped I would be dedication wise. On a day to day basis, I would say I am working at about a 70% dedication, which is just not enough. I keep saying "I am going to change this!" or "This week will be the week!" and the next week I realize I have just wasted another week giving only 70%.

It really hit me in the face when I realized I only have 10 weeks until the 4th of July. So I decided I needed to challenge myself. I introduce you to The 10 Week Challenge!

<Insert snappy graphic here…. when I have time to make one lol>

For the next 10 weeks, I am going to go 100%. I am going to completely overhaul my eating (with the help of a Maria, my nutritionist) and my work outs (with the help of the internet… and my trainer Kim). My goal is lofty, but I know that if I push myself, I will make it happen.

I will share more on my goal tomorrow, when I write more about the challenge, and introduce my challenge partner. Yep, I have a partner. And I am really excited to introduce them.

Wanna join me (and my partner)? There will be more details tomorrow, but basically I am setting a goal to achieve by 4th of July! I would love to get a big group of people doing this, and share our before and afters of the challenge the week of the 4th :D Comment if you are interested!

So sorry that is super cryptic, but come back tomorrow lol.

Also, this is my last week of No Weigh April! I think it's safe to say I have broken my scale addiction, which I am SO HAPPY to finally say! This was a great month off, but I must say I miss the accountability that seeing the number gives me. I am still trying to decide where to go from here, but you bet there will be lots of details in next week's WIW post :D

As always, I am linking up with Erin and Alex for Weigh in Wednesday! Check then BOTH out, they are stellar.

  5. I am always up for a good challenge. Count me in!! I am also very impressed with your challenge of not getting on the scale. I have a very hard time not stepping on the scale at least once a day. You said it best "I miss the accountability that seeing the number gives me". So I must say CONGRATS. I will be sure to check back in tomorrow for more information.

  17. I'm interested to hear about this challenge! 4th of July sounds like a great goal and right in the swing of summer. I'd like to be feeling more confident by then!

I purposely haven't replaced the dead battery in my scale because I become obsessed with it although sometimes I need the kick in the pants. I was disappointed a week ago to see I had only lost one pound and then made horrible choices last week. I weighed today at my doctors and saw I was down 5lbs from the week before. Obviously last weeks number was probably off due to some water retention. Now I feel stupid for letting that number bother me last week. I'm back on track this week after a long talk with myself over the weekend LOL. I have to keep a perspective of how my body feels and clothes fit and NOT just the number on the scale.

  21. I am in the same place regrets every week that I have let pass by. my vaca is on 6 weeks away and I haven't lost 1 lb... Wonder what I can do with 6 weeks?

  22. I have officially hidden my scales! They were sabotaging me! I was far too addicted to them! I posted about it on my blog yesterday or the day before. It really was bringing me down! I am losing inches doing Insanity but not pounds I'm actually gaining and I can NOT allow that to happen because of a darn scale!

  23. I love the idea of the challenge and a facebook page for it. I need some accountability right now. I am back on track after half assing it for a few months. I also gave up weekly weigh ins for monthly weigh ins. I was noticing that I was sabotaging myself with weekly weigh ins. I would weigh in once a week but would normally "check in" half way through the week. If I had lost a good number I would celebrate and end up blowing it by the end of the week. If it was a bad number I would emotional eat and have a bad week. Either way I was sabotaging myself and setting myself up for failure. I decided to weigh in on April 1st and not again until May 1st. I am itching to get on the scale but am being strong about it.

  24. That looks like a good goal to match some of the relaxed and casual looks that are popular now. I find that I have to be wearing shorter shorts and cooler colors. However that doesn't go well with untoned legs.

It's been really hot over the past few weeks. Makes me concerned about what summer will bring in terms of the heat. Maybe this global warming thing is not as much of a silly idea as some people want to make it out to be.

I wish you well. Go for it!
