Makeover your Fridge

It should probably come as no surprise that your fridge has a lot of power when it comes to your weight loss success. The things in your fridge, the way its organized and even the places you put things can all either make or brake your success. Together we are going to make our fridges work for us, not against us, by making just a couple easy fixes.

Imagine this. At the end of a LONG day at work, you come home, probably starving, and look in the fridge. What you find is chaos. You there might be something in there that is edible, but it is so overwhelming to look at that you shut the door and grab the takeout menu. Sound familiar?

How about this. It's a Sunday afternoon and you are bored. Nothing good on tv, and you think you are hungry. You walk over to the fridge and see a take out box with old chinese food, and a box of strawberries that might not be good anymore. You grab the lo-mein and go sit back down.

Our fridges can make even the best intentions go ary because of how it looks. Have no fear, I can help you out.

  • Organize your fridge. Jen at iheartorganizing  has a great post about how to keep your fridge looking photo friendly. If you haven't read her blog before, clear out your afternoon. 
  • Pre-cut and package your veggies. With the best intentions, I will buy a head of broccoli and put it away whole. A week later, I will throw away a rotted head of broccoli… If I get home from the store and wash it, cut it up and put it in ziplock baggies, I am WAY more likely to grab a bag to snack on, or take to work, or steam for dinner.
  • Pack leftovers into individual sized tuperware. If you are actually going to eat the leftovers again, put them in tupperware and PLAN to eat them. Too often, we would cook too much, save the leftovers in a big container and it would go bad. We would forget we had it and it would go bad before we remembered to eat it. 
  • Put the bad stuff on the bottom. So in a perfect world, our spouses and children (for those who have them) would eat the exact same healthy food we do, and rainbows would be like highways to the clouds where you can pet unicorns. Unfortunately thats not the case. Sometimes you have things like cake or pie or ice cream in your fridge and there isn't much to do about it. Put it on the bottom of the fridge so you don't see it right away. And if you can, put it in a dark container so you don't have to look at the frostingy goodness staring at you while you grab your grapes. Out of site, out of mind. 
  • Clean often. It doesn't take more than a couple weeks before things get dark and hairy in there. Once a week, throw away everything that is growing or wilted. 
With these simple tips, you should be able to whip your fridge into shape in no time. Weekly Goals Link Party 4-29

Its that time of week again where I have to remember what my goal were and see if I achieved them… I am good at setting them, but I need to write them down somewhere so I remember them…

On that note

So last week I launched the 10 week challenge, which I am super excited about. The official rules are

1. Set a goal
2. Give it your all. I'm talking 100%!
3. Check out the weekly mini challenges to learn ways to make the 10 weeks and beyond easier.

And thats it! At the end of the challenge, I will highlight a few challengers that kicked serious ass, including how Steven and I did! So my first goal each week for the next 10 weeks will be the mini challenge" so that I remember to do it too lol.

Here are last week's goals!

1. Do a 5K- I walked my little legs off this weekend, and one of the times was even for a 3.1 mile straight stretch. It wasn't timed, and I didn't run any of it but I went out there and moved!

2. Schedule my Workouts- This went much better this week, and I can't wait to keep the momentum going. I feel like when you get it he habit of going, you just GO. Once you miss a day, it is so easy to miss another. And another. And one more.

3. Blog a new recipe- This one is a fail too… I'm sorry guys. If you want me to recommend a recipe blog, I can, but I am having a hard time giving these to you. Not that i have super top secret recipes I don't want to share, its that I always forget to take pictures before I eat it! See:

So for this week, my goal is to make more achievable goals, and to actually remember to do them :D #goalfail

 For the 10 week challenge, we are making over our fridges to help support better choices. I want to prep all of my food for this week and organize my fridge. (more about how to do this tomorrow :D )

I gots a jiggly core. And actually a weak core. There are lots of things I could do better (for example running, squatting, sitting up straight, etc) if I had a stronger core. I wanna work on that every day, even if its just 10 minutes. 

Like I said up there, we are prepping ahead this week, so I need to pack snacks every day! I hate when I am running late and don't have anything for lunch, let alone a snack, and I make bad choices when in a pinch. I eat every 2ish hours, so snacks are mui importante. 

So there you have them. I am also making a desktop screen saver of these for my computer at work, so every second I am not working, or drinking coffee or talking to my co-workers, I can look at these goals and remember them :D

10 Week Challenge!

Yay I am super excited to give you all the super juicy details about my 10 week challenge coming up! I am so ready to get my ass in gear and really push myself for the next 10 weeks (and hopefully beyond!)

First I guess I should give you a little background on how this challenge came to be.

I met Steven in High School. We did choir and theatre together. Long story short (and I will let him give you the long story in a little bit) he gained a lot of weight in college (around the time I did) and lost a TON of weight a few years ago, and has found himself on the other side of the yoyo. He approached me a few weeks ago about his struggle, and it gave me this idea :D

He has a wedding coming up at the end of June that he wants to look hot for, and I am going on vacation to California over 4th of July, so thats how I landed on 10 weeks. We are both ready to commit 100% and really push ourselves to succeed. That's where you come in!

I had a huge outpouring of support and people interested in joining the challenge yesterday, so I am super pumped to get this thing started!

Here is Steven's story: (it is long but totally worth reading the whole thing. I promise!)


I want to start by admitting that I am not a writer and I am certainly not a storyteller. I want to share my journey and my struggle with weight but I don’t know where to begin because I feel like there are too many significant events that led to the problem in the first place. Ultimately though, none of it really matters. They are excuses disguised as “causes” but in reality, the cause is me. It was my decisions, my actions, and my stubbornness that have put me in the position I am in. I do, however, wish to share some of the conditions I was facing because I feel it is important for those of you who may be able to relate, so lets go back a bit.

I had a very normal childhood in a very loving family but at school I was picked on and bullied a lot. It tapered off over time because I stopped being an easy target as I grew and became more violent. I was basically left alone through high school with the exception of my relationship to my first love that was great for 3 months before she cheated on me with my good friend. We then stayed together in an extremely abusive (verbally) relationship for 10 more months. So after a long, lonely, anger-filled high school life, I went off to college away from what few friends I had. The stress of college really kick started my weight gain. I was always heavy but it was masked due to my height (I am 6’4”) and the fact that I played a lot of sports and stayed active in theatre during high school. Once I was in college and in full control of my exercise and diet, my weight became noticeable.

College became a nightmare very quickly. I didn’t fit in with my roommates and the people I hung out with. I couldn’t find people who were even remotely interested in my hobbies. I didn’t like to drink alcohol and my “friends” were total party people. So I rarely went out with them and stayed in my room alone, quietly gaining weight. Over a 2 year period I became the group whipping boy. I was the butt of every joke and became heavily depressed. It was a vicious cycle. I got depressed, gained weight, got made fun of for my weight, got more depressed, gained more weight, got made fun of more, etc… In a 1 year span I went from my normal high school weight of 200lbs and ballooned up to almost 320lbs. It got so bad that I was too depressed to leave my room and go to class. I was put on academic probation my freshman year and I failed out of school at the end of my sophomore year. I knew I needed to get out of there and change my life. Onward to Fort Collins!

I moved to Fort Collins in 2007 and got accepted at CSU. I started spending time with some high school friends that I got along with and eventually merged into their group of friends. I was finally at a point where I felt accepted. These people truly saved my life. But then there was the weight issue… I was starting to get tired a lot and had little to no energy during the day. Fearing I might be diabetic I went to see my doctor and found out through testing that I have severe sleep apnea. I’ll never forget that conversation I had with my doctor. He said “What kind of exercising do you do?” to which I responded “I don’t exercise.” He looked me right in the eyes and said “Well then you’re an idiot.” How’s that for bedside manner? A lot of people would be upset by that kind of response but not me. I took it as a wake up call. I had few options for getting my life back on track and losing weight was most definitely a requirement. So I did what I knew I was capable of. I lost the weight.

I was in the right place mentally, I had great resources around me, and I knew that my food addiction was all in my mind. I created what I called the “Food is relative” diet. You see, I know what it’s like to blame everything in the world for my weight instead of taking responsibility for what I was putting in my body. I know what it’s like to drive to 2 separate fast food joints to pick up the amount of food I wanted to eat without anyone judging me. I know what it’s like to estimate my hunger in terms of full pizzas instead of just slices. Then I realized something. Food is all relative because hunger is not biased as to what you eat (with the obvious exception to allergies, medical conditions, etc..). What does that mean? It means that if you are hungry and you eat something to alleviate that hunger, it doesn’t matter if you ate a pizza or a bowl of veggies, you’re still full and food is not on your mind any longer. I suddenly saw food in a whole new light. The only thing causing me to desire certain foods over others is the temporary sensation of “taste” but once the hunger is gone, it doesn’t matter what the food you ate tasted like, it is purely a memory at that point. This made eating healthy very simple. I started eating a wider variety of healthy food because I didn’t care how it tasted. And you want to know the crazy part? Over time, all the healthy food that I didn’t find tasty, started tasting delicious, and all of the junk food I once loved, started tasting horrible. When I combined this with regular exercise (an hour a day) the weight melted off. In only 3 months I dropped from 310lbs to 180lbs. [I hate men! amiright??? moving on…]

So this is a success story right? Well, kind of, but not really. While I am incredibly proud of my accomplishment and keeping the weight off for 4 years, it was mostly just maintenance work. I had the luxury of a gym membership at school, I unloaded trucks at Target for a living which kept me active, and eating wasn’t a problem because of how busy I was. Now I am relapsing. A year ago I took a new job and now I sit at a desk all day. I don’t have access to a gym because my apartment doesn’t have one and I can’t afford a membership. And now my lack of activity has shown me that my recent food habits are not as good as they seem because the weight is coming back. These are definitely still excuses but the point I am trying to make is that I was walking a fine line because I thought I was doing everything on my own but in actuality I kept the weight off due to a lot of conveniences in my life, not because of the decisions I was making. This past winter the depression has come back out of the shadows and is trying to drag me back down. I wish I were able to say that I valiantly fended off the darkness but I forgot how sly this beast can be. I didn’t notice at first, then I bargained with it and convinced myself I was only indulging for the holidays, and before I knew it I was back on that slippery slope and I have found myself, months later, sitting at 245 lbs.

And that is where my story lies. I was sad for a while, then I was angry, but now I am strong. I will not allow myself to fall because quitting is too easy and I am better than that. I have lost the weight before and I will do it again. This time I will go into it with a passion and thirst for knowledge. I need to conquer the mental side of my addictions but also educate myself to prevent the demons from ever returning. I will do it, I have no doubt. I reached out to my friend Jess because her story, her blog, and her dedication to face extreme challenges in a public light have been an inspiration to me. I can turn this around. I have accepted the position I am in, I know where I need to go, I will figure out how to do it, and I will share every step of the way with all of you. It’s time to take charge. Who’s with me?

Weigh In Wednesday 4-24

I am back with Weigh in Wednesday!
As you may or may not know, I am not weighing in this month for "No Weigh April", but I am still linking up with Weigh in Wednesday with Erin from She's a Big Star, and Alex from Skinny Jean Pilgrimage.

I have something exciting to share with you! I have a few longer term goals coming up at the beginning of July, and I realized recently that that is only 10 weeks away. I can't believe this year has flown by so fast, and really I am not quite where I had hoped I would be dedication wise. On a day to day basis, I would say I am working at about a 70% dedication, which is just not enough. I keep saying "I am going to change this!" or "This week will be the week!" and the next week I realize I have just wasted another week giving only 70%.

It really hit me in the face when I realized I only have 10 weeks until the 4th of July. So I decided I needed to challenge myself. I introduce you to The 10 Week Challenge!

For the next 10 weeks, I am going to go 100%. I am going to completely overhaul my eating (with the help of a Maria, my nutritionist) and my work outs (with the help of the internet… and my trainer Kim). My goal is lofty, but I know that if I push myself, I will make it happen.

I will share more on my goal tomorrow, when I write more about the challenge, and introduce my challenge partner. Yep, I have a partner. And I am really excited to introduce them.

Wanna join me (and my partner)? There will be more details tomorrow, but basically I am setting a goal to achieve by 4th of July! I would love to get a big group of people doing this, and share our before and afters of the challenge the week of the 4th :D Comment if you are interested!

Also, this is my last week of No Weigh April! I think it's safe to say I have broken my scale addiction, which I am SO HAPPY to finally say! This was a great month off, but I must say I miss the accountability that seeing the number gives me. I am still trying to decide where to go from here, but you bet there will be lots of details in next week's WIW post :D

As I eluded to a while ago, I got a Body Bugg (tho I think it's technically called a "Body Media" device, but whatever).

A while back, when I was on Weight Watchers, I was really excited when they unleashed the Active Link. I think the key to weight loss is awareness, which is why I am big on tracking. I loved that it showed me how much activity I got in a day, but on the same note I was really disappointed with how unreliable it was. I would walk for 10 minutes and earn one activity point, then lift weights for 30 minutes and earn zero. It's downfalls were one of my key reasons for leaving the program. I wanted more.

I have since been counting calories, which is going great, and so after a little research, the Body Bugg seemed like a great idea for me. I have been wearing it for about a month, and I really love it so far! I really can't say anything negative about it.

I didn't track my food on Saturday. oops :D

What I love:

  • It tracks how many calories I burn a day. 
  • It syncs with Myfitnesspal to track how many calories I consume a day. It is smart enough to do the math and tell me my daily deficit. 
  • It monitors my moderate and vigorous activity, and tells me how much of each I get a day (and compares it to a goal I set)
  • It tracks my steps :D
  • It tracks my sleep!
  • I can set it to track a specific work out, so I know how many calories I burn while running, for example. 
  • It syncs in real time with my phone wirelessly. I don't have to plug it in every night to sync
  • It has a really great battery life! I have to charge it every two weeks maybe. 
  • I wear it all the time. I only take it off to shower.

Weekly Goals Check in Link Party 4-22

I am just going to preface this by saying I am not perfect. I had a really rough week. I didn't eat great, I only worked out once and I felt like crap about it the whole week. But I am back and ready to kick ass this week. I think everyone has off weeks, and as long as they don't turn into off months, you keep moving forward.

On that note, lets rehash it one by one :D

1. Have a perfect week. hahahaha yeah lets just leave that at that.

2. Schedule my workouts. ok I might get half credit on this one! I scheduled them, I just didnt do them…. half credit?

3. Try kale chips….. ok so 0 for 3. Moving on!

This week will be better!

I, sadly, am not able to do the 5K I was planning on doing on Saturday. But I do plan on doing one at the gym this week :D

This one is a re-do. Andy and I are resolved to get our asses in the gym on the schedule we have worked out. This last week sucked not going at all. We missed it! 

I want to start blogging more recipes, one a week if I can work it out. I am going to start this week with the recipe I said I would blog about last week lol

Yes, I know that's not how the lyric goes.

If you know me, I am definitely one to jump on a bandwagon! Some of my favorite bloggers have been doing Q and A recently and I love the idea! I want to know what you want to know! If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram (which you should because it's fun) you saw this coming :D

So basically all bets are off! Ask me anything, and I will answer it! I wont be censoring questions, so ask me anything. My grandma asked me the meaning of life, and by golly I will be giving her my answer!

1. I laughed so hard I cried when… my friend accidentally flung a flaming marshmallow at me while trying to put out the fire, then peed her pants because my cleavage was on fire. So funny. I have a scar.

2. My high school… was lame. I disliked high school. 

3. It really pisses me off… that Stouffers Lasagna has 7 servings in it. Who can cut a rectangle into 7 even squares? NO ONE!! Show me the map Stouffers! Teach me how to cut a rectangle into 7 even pieces. 


4. In ten years… it will be 2023. Wow that seems really far away. 

5. If I could erase one thing… I would erase the apostrophe from my last name. That little bugger is so annoying. Sometimes it's there, sometimes it's not. Social Security says yes, drivers license says no, liquor store rewards member card says yes, work email says no. WHY YOU SO CONFUSING? 

6. In 1999… I was partying to Prince. And also 12. 

7. Honestly… I am in awe at how big my little blog is growing. I care about every single one of you. You are all my friends :D

8. To me, Sushi… is god's gift to man. Seriously. SOOOO good. 

9. Someone really needs to invent… teleportation. Seriously. 

10. The first time I drank alcohol… I mixed margaritas with lemonade at my friend's family bbq. I put my bra on my friend's dog...

11. The one question I would ask God is… Why did you take Steve Jobs. 

12. Lindsay Lohan… is a hot mess.

I am a runner

First I want to send my thoughts and prayers to everyone effected by the attacks at the Boston Marathon on Monday. And also say I am not doing Weigh in Wednesday today, this felt more important to say.

The tragedy on Monday got me thinking. I want to be a runner, but what is a runner? Is a runner someone who has run x amount of races at x speed? Earned x amount of medals? Someone who runs x number of times a week? Are all of these stipulations, with no clear quantitative value to them (hence the "x's") "required" to be a "runner"?

Does your perceived membership in the runners "club" really boil down to speed and experience? Is that what running is about? I don't really think so.

When I run, I feel strong. I feel like I can do anything in the world. I feel "high". When I run, I feel proud. I feel healthy. I feel athletic. When I run, I feel like a runner.

 I may not be as fast as other runners, or as experienced, but I don't think that matters. I feel bound to these other athletes by the shared experience and feeling. I may have only just run my *first mile, but I have caught the bug. I have run two 5K's (well done two 5K's, there was very little running involved) and I don't want to stop there. I want to run my first half next year. That is a lofty goal, but I know I can achieve it.

So from now on, I am no longer going to say "I want to be a runner," I AM a runner.

She is adorable and also British so, obvi, we are going to be bffs. She is working her ass (or whatever British for ass is…) off and I love following along! You should too :D

Weekly Goals Check in 4-15

Before we get too far, today is the last day to enter the NatureBox Giveaway

What a week this has been for me! My idol Skinny Meg is so inspirational and I am so glad she brought so many of you here :D So welcome and thanks for coming by!

Every week I make 3 goals, and report on how I did on the next Monday. I really believe setting small, achievable weekly goals are the stepping stones to success. They keep you focused throughout the week, and they keep you accountable. I would love for you to join me if you are making goals for yourself!

Here are last week's goals!

1. Wear wedges all day. I did this! And I got a ton of compliments! I wore them to work on Friday with my skinny jeans, and like 15 people at work said something about how cute I looked! I will definitely wear them again!

2. Get 10,000 steps a day. I met this 5/7 days this week! Monday and Tuesday I got 7500 ish but Wednesday- Sunday I got over 10,000 each day! I am definitely going to try to keep this going!

3. Try a new recipe. Did this one too! We made Feta and Pesto Stuffed Chicken Breast. It was fantastic! I will try to share the recipe later this week! (sorry I forgot to take a picture!!!)

I think I did good this week! I love the feeling I get when I achieve goals I set for myself. (I also set longer term goals every month up in the goal tab)

Here are this week's goals.

So I have to be honest, I have had a string of about 80% weeks. I have skipped a few work outs, I have eaten out on the weekends, and not always made great choices. I know I have it in me to go all in, so thats my goal this week. Plan every thing I eat, eat right and don't miss a work out. I am ready to challenge myself. 

In the same line as above, I need to schedule my work outs. How it goes right now is we wake up every morning at 4 am, decide if we want to keep sleeping (which is almost always yes) then we go after work. I don't mind as long as we get them in, I just want to get on a better schedule. Thats my plan this week. 

I have seen recipes all over the internet for Kale Chips and I am really excited to try them out! I LOVE Kale, so I am excited to try it as a chip :D

Holy crap I ran a mile

Yep, you read that right. I did.

Yes, two weeks ago I was really excited that I ran two minutes in a row lol.

Last night at the gym we were on the treadmill and I wanted to meet my April goal of running for 5 minutes. As I hit 5 minutes, I saw I was really close to 1/2 a mile (like at .3) so I wanted to run half a mile. I kept going and once I hit half a mile, I was pretty close to 10 minutes of straight running so I figured I would keep going.

10 minutes came and went and I was so close to .75 miles that I decided to just do it. Why stop? I was so close and I felt good. I was breathing heavy (duh) but I wasn't dying. I just kept going and at .9 miles I got the worst cramp in my side. I just kept my eyes straight ahead and kept going. At one point, I was holding my side but I didn't stop.

When I hit 1 mile, tears started streaming down my face. I didn't actually believe that I did it. Here is a fun little history of me and running. In 7th grade, we had to run the mile for the first time. I couldn't run it. As I went through middle and high school, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't do it. I could never do it. I have never been a strong runner. No one ever taught me how to breathe while running so I never was able to do it.

I think mostly I didn't believe I could do it. And after high school I never tried. Well, I graduated high school 8 years ago this spring, so I figured I should try again.

Here is my point. Don't ever think that you can't do something. I am really starting to believe that changing your body is 100% about changing your mind. I can now say, with absolute certainty, that if you think you can do something, you really can. You are the only thing holding you back.

I am 250 pounds. Up until 2 weeks ago I couldn't run for more than 2 minutes without stopping. I just ran for 17 minutes and 8 seconds straight, an entire mile, without stopping. You can do it. I can do it! WE CAN DO IT. I am letting go of my fear. Let go of yours.

Weigh in Wednesday 4-10

It's week two of No Weigh April! So far I am loving it! I haven't even gone through withdrawals :)

I have another non scale victory for you today! On Thanksgiving last year, my husband and I went on a walk with my in laws. Their neighborhood has a 2.8 mile loop around it, and last year we walked about half of it. It has a few really steep, hard hills along it. It was so freaking hard. I was out of breath and I was at least 30 feet behind them at all times. On the way back, we came across a hill I didn't remember coming and I almost started crying. I didn't give up, but it was freaking hard. 

I was really proud when I finished. So this last weekend, my in laws invited us over to do the whole loop. I was really nervous! I even contemplated not going. But when we got there, I decided to give it a go. I kept up with my husband and in laws, but when the first big hill came, I knew it would be the real test. But I kept up! I was even in the front of the pack! At the top of that hill, I felt like I was on top of the world! For the rest of the walk I not only kept up, I was able to talk, which would not have happened on Thanksgiving. Then we hit that last hill that almost made me cry. I took a deep breath and jogged up it! I felt so empowered that I almost cried lol. 

People keep telling me that I won't be happy unless I "love my body" (because apparently being healthier means I don't...) I love my body more and more every day, not because it's getting smaller, but because of how STRONG it is, I am! I had no idea what amazing things we (my body and I) are capable of. This journey has been more of a love story with myself than anything else.

Naturebox Review and Giveaway!

Have you heard of NatureBox? If not, listen up.

I discovered NatureBox a few months ago when a friend posted about them on an accountability group I am in on Facebook. 

NatureBox is a mail order snack subscription that will send you a box of yummy, different, healthy snacks every month! When I first heard of this, I thought it was genius! I am in a snack rut! I am always looking for new things to try. I like that the snacks are different each month so you get to try new things. 

I was super excited when my box arrived, and I couldn't wait to dive in! The April box included Dark Cocoa Almonds, Cranberries Jubilee, Cherry Granola, Sesame Sticks and Nature's Bounty. All of these were really yummy, and were between 100-150 calories a serving! The Dark Cocoa Almonds were my favorite, but omg the Sesame Sticks were a very close second! I really liked all the snacks!

I think NatureBox is great for working people like myself and moms alike! I loved being able to grab a bag of snacks to take to work that I felt better about than the junk in the vending machine! I knew that when 2:00 rolled around and I was looking for something good, I had something healthy with me. I also liked the ease of getting it in the mail! I didn't even have to pick them out myself! Truth be told I have never head Sesame Sticks, and I probably never would have tried them. I LOVED them! 

I am a busy person, and I don't have kids to worry about, so I really love that the snacks come to your door. It's like a no brainer. And you know the snacks you are eating are good for you. 

Another one of my favorite things about NatureBox is their blog! They blog healthy recipes and great ways to use their monthly snacks in different recipes! Definitely check it out!

So all in all, I HIGHLY recommend NatureBox to anyone. It is an easier way to snack healthier and try new things. And it's only $20 a month, which for 5 bags of snacks is really reasonable!

Weekly Goals Check In 4-8

The weekends are never long enough. Just me?

I need to update you on my dance audition! I showed up wearing sneakers and work out clothes (because I didn't know what else to wear.) I was one of the first people there (I went with another friend of mine who isn't a trained dancer) and since we were auditioning for friends, I felt pretty comfortable.

We said hi and then one by one, 10 trained dancers walked in, and started stretching. I was like 90% sure I had no chance, but once they all came in, it bumped up to 100% lol. BUT I didn't let that ruin the fun for me. The instructor taught us a dance in about 20 minutes, then we had 5 minutes to practice, then we had to perform.

I felt about 75% on the dance. I knew if I could practice it about 50 more times, I could get it. I didn't look as good as the 10 professional dancers (or even the 5 non professional dancer friends there that have dancer sized bodies) but I felt awesome. I felt like I was moving my body in a beautiful way and even tho it was extremely hard, I was proud that I was doing it.

Needless to say, I didn't get it. BUT my friends really cheered me on and were very supportive and they were happy I put myself out there. I am happy I did to. It motivated me to keep losing weight. It motivated me to look into taking a dance class and becoming skilled.

Anyhoo, moving on to last week's goals :D

1. Buy new jeans.  I blogged all about my new skinnies on Wednesday :D I love them
2. Run an hour. Admittedly this should have said "do cardio for an hour" but whatever lol. I did it! On Monday, Wednesday and Saturday we did the treadmill for a full hour.
3. Bring lunch to work. This one wasn't super tough so I am happy to tell you I did it!

Last week's goals were kinda easy lol. I am ready to challenge myself this week!

As you probably knew from this post, I an not very good at walking in heels. And as you know from this post, I got the cutest pair of wedges EVER from Payless a few weeks ago. My goal is to wear those cuties to work one day next week, and wear them all day! Wish me luck!!

I have a BodyMedia (formerly bodybugg) arm divice that tells me how many calories and steps, etc, I get a day. I really plan on blogging about it soon, but I have a goal to get at least 10,000 steps every day this week! 

I will be the first to admit that our new healthy eating has been lacking a bit in deliciousness. It has been fine because we have a routine, but I want to try something new this week. 

I think these will give me a solid challenge this week. I don't know about you, but I really do love setting these weekly goals! Making some goals? link them up below!
