Jess's Week 1 Recap

So, week one is done :) Here is a little recap of my week :)

-I made decent choices all week, which felt good. Even when I didn't do great, I didn't do it as bad as I used to. I think changing your habits can change your bad habits too :)

-I didn't meet my activity goals this week, of 21 points earned. I did earn 13 tho. When I told my leader, she asked me the last time I earned 13 activity points in one week. I thought and told her never. I  realized that I am making an improvement, even when its not as much as I hope to sometimes.

-I need to make more short term goals.

-I have more willpower than I give myself credit for. There were Cinnamon Rolls at work on Friday, and I didn't even look at them. Before me would have had 3, but said she had 1.

As for my meeting this week, we talked about the tools Weight Watchers gives us to succeed. As you know there are e-tools, and meetings and the smart phone app, but there is also a hotline. Who knew!

For this week, my goals are:

-To meet my activity monitor goal of earning 21 points.

-To plan all my meals and snacks so that there are no unexpected moments of weakness.

-To eat at least one fruit or veggie a day. I have a hard time remembering to get those in for some reason.

Things that are coming up! Andy is having his company holiday party on Jan 12 and it is cocktail attire. Well I only have 1 cocktail dress and it is a size too big now because I bought it when I weighed 20 lbs more. So I have set a goal to be 259 by the party (4 weeks in time to buy a dress) and if I succeed, I get to buy a new cocktail dress! I am very excited and I think this is a great reward for me!

Which leads me to my weigh in! This week, I lost 1.6 lbs so I now weigh 264.4! Yay! So I am only 5.4 lbs from my party goal weight :)

How do you set goals for yourself? Daily? Weekly? Monthly? What kind of goals work best for you? What super cute cocktail dresses are out there for a size 22?


  1. Try Simply Be & Torrid for dresses. They have some cute stuff and carry larger sizes.

  2. i wrote down a list of goals and worked towards them without giving myself a timeline. i figured that i had enough of a challenge ahead of myself accomplishing all these goals without assigning a date; all i said to myself was that i would give myself until december to hit at least 2 of my goals.

    i did monitor monthly progress; that was enough motivation for me to keep going; seeing results is a fantastic way to keep pushing yourself.

  3. Congrats ! Seeing your progress is motivation for me to get started in my journey and dress barn (i hate the store name) has some really beautiful plus size dresses and shrugs
